Second to last ride before tri on the 25/01/09. I found out were the cycle leg goes so headed out today for a bit of hill work.

32.83km, 1hr 15mins 34secs, avg 26km/h, max 67km/h

Average cadence 90, after starting to read a cycle training book I have changed my aim in cadence training by trying to keep the cadence between 90-100. I am learning about Lactic thresholds, Rating of perceived exertion, Heart rate zones, Adaptation, Pedalling Efficiency and all sorts of other interesting info about training and physiology of cycling and the effect on the body in regards to training.

Todays ride I worked on trying to keep the cadence between 90-100 and correct pedalling technique, both of which seemed to work in conjunction with each other (each complemented each other).

I have enough trouble trying to stay on the bike without getting hit by a truck! Sounds like you are learning tons.

Good luck for the 25th. We are off down to Portland for Steve’s run on Saturday. Have a good one.
