Rode to work this morning, quite cold but rideable. The shoe covers and long fingered riding gloves are definitely the go.

Rode home from work this afternoon, forgot my bike shoes so had to ride home with running shoes on, (fortuantly my pedals have flats on the underside) never again with a bit of luck as it makes for hard work, I didn’t realize just how much of the pedal stroke is done by pulling the pedal up.

Had a bit of a moment on the hill where I thought that I had broken a spoke on my new wheels. Whilst doing 88km/h downhill the magnet for my bike computer spun the aerospoke around and was whacking the sensor (sounded bloody awful). After stoping to fix the problem I got home with no further incidence.

Rode my big block ride with an extra couple of kms. A nice ride that I was using to try and get a 30km/h avg to try and get out of the rut I feel that I am in. I managed 30km/h for about the first 20km but another hill dealt with that. although the first 20 km is up and down I had run out of energy.

Rode the same loop that I rode on the 12/03, this time by myself. Didn’t feel like a great ride as I felt flat and lethargic.

Although I rode this loop .9km/h faster today it felt a lot harder than it should have. I didn’t do my usual recovery ride after the Tri  I did on Sunday.
